Hi, I’m Tracie.
Nice to meet you!
I’m excited to get to know you and the needs of your business. Here’s a little more about me and my journey.
Work. Community. Coffee.
It’s the title of my newsletter, but it also tells you a lot about me! While my professional life revolves around HR and people strategy, speaking, consulting and advising, that’s what I do, not who I am. (Well, it’s part of who I am – but not the biggest part!) So here’s a little peek into my life.
Probably the first thing you need to know about me is that I’m a huge Disney World fan. I will talk to you for hours about all things Disney! My husband and I are long time annual passholders and DVC members, and we go as often as we can – we’ve even been known to sneak down for just a night when we can’t get away for longer! You’ll also find the original park logos on the tattoo on my right arm (one of my three – and counting – tattoos!)
I’m also an avid reader and very reluctantly transitioned to a kindle a few years ago, which I now love because I have dozens of books with me wherever I travel – and I love to travel! I didn’t get my first passport until I turned 45, and since then I’ve traveled as much as I can, both for speaking engagements and for pleasure, with my husband and our (now all) adult kids! We spend as much time as we can outside, enjoying the local trails in our hometown and beyond.
And coffee! We can’t forget about that. I love supporting local businesses – especially coffee shops – and you can check out my weekend LinkedIn posts about my coffee visits. Why LinkedIn? Because coffee is more than what it seems. It’s a drink shared with friends. It’s something we grab at the office to help us get through the day. Coffee is community.

I love coffee
Espresso, iced. On the weekends, and whenever I travel, you can find me exploring local coffee shops – and sharing my favorites on LinkedIn, and on the coffee page here!
I’ve been doing this a long time
About 30 years! Who says in High School, “I want to work in Human Resources!”? I did! This was – and is – the career for me.
My Community Means the World
My HR Community, especially my Rowdy HR Rebels, have helped me see the world of work – and the world – differently. And learn – much more than I would have learned on my own! My sounding board, champions, and accountability partners are a huge part of what I do, and why I do what I do!
I’ve won some awards
When I changed my mindset and listened and learned more about the future (and present) of HR, I started to talk about it. And, I guess, people noticed! I’m super proud to have won some industry awards and to have led award-winning tams and companies.
